Have veggies washed and ready ahead of time for the week and enjoy for a quick breakfast. You can do this in a regular blender.
Handful of greens of choice: Kale, lettuce, spinach, Swiss Chard
1 celery stick
2 TBS. Flax seed (freshly ground) or chia seeds (do not have to be ground)
1 TBS. Protein Powder (Optional)-can use 1 TBS. almond butter instead
1/2 lemon (with or without the rind)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup coconut water/ 1/2 cup water-modify to desired consistency.
I use the celery stick as a stir stick through the top of the blender lid to ensure chunks get mixed well then release celery into mixture. I also like it thick enough to eat with a spoon to slow down the eating process instead of guzzling. Eat within 20 minutes of mixing, as nutritional value will be diminished.
